Defrosting
The freezer has no automatic defrost system. When frost accumulates, stop the freezer operation and
remove the frost.
Defrosting with a scraper
If it is necessary for the freezer to remain operational, frost can be removed using the enclosed scraper.
Defrosting by stopping the freezer operation
Follow the procedure below when it is necessary to stop the freezer operation to remove the frost.
1. Move all stored items in the freezer to a suitable alternative cold storage location.
2. Remove all storage containers except for the bottom 2 large storage containers.
The bottom 2 large storage containers are used for collecting the condensate water during defrosting.
3. Press the defrost key (DEF.) for 5 seconds to stop the freezer operation. While the freezer operation
is stopped, the current chamber temperature and dF are displayed alternately.
4. After a several hours, check visually that the frost has completely melted.
5. Discard the condensate water in the bottom 2 large storage containers.
6. Wipe the bottom 2 large storage containers and freezer chamber with a dry cloth..
7. Replace all storage containers in the chamber.
8. Press the defrost key (DEF.) to resume the freezer operation.
9. Check the chamber temperature reaches the set temperature.
10. Replace the storage items.
CALIBRATION
During running operation, the following service works must be performed;
• Perform a temperature calibration at least once a year.
