9. NOTES
Precautions/Notes
• The set should not be used immediately after trans¬
portation from a cold to a hot area or vice versa,
or in conditions of extreme humidity.
After unpacking the set, it should be allowed to accli¬
matize for at least three hours before installation.
• Do not use the set in dusty places, near strong
magnetic fields or where it may be subject to vibration.
• We recommend disconn e c ting the appliance from both
the mains and the aerial 130 d u r ing heavy
thunderstorms.
• There should be is a vertical distance of at least 10 cm
(4 ins) between the video recorder and the TV set.
• Do not put your fingers or any other foreign objects
into the cassette slot as this could damage the mecha¬
nism. Particular care should be taken when children
are present.
• This video recorder employs the VHS cassette stan¬
dard.
Only use cassettes of a well-known brand which
display the VHS symbol. We recommend that you use
PHILIPS VHS video cassettes to ensure the best
possible picture quality from your video recorder.

• Used remote control batteries should not be thrown
away with ordinary domestic refuse. Deposit old bat¬
