- Detach the inlet and outlet carburettor fuel lines
and the cooling circuit hoses (head outlet and ther-
mostat inlet).
- Detach the spark plug H.T. cable.
- Detach the generator wiring from the vehicle's
electrical circuit.
- Remove the swing-arm from the engine pivoting.
- The engine may now be removed.

CARRY OUT THESE OPERATIONS WHEN THE ENGINE IS
COLD

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING FUEL.
CAUTION
WHEN INSTALLING THE BATTERY, ATTACH THE POSI-
TIVE LEAD FIRST AND THEN THE NEGATIVE LEAD.
- When refitting the engine on the scooter, carry out the removal operations but in reverse order and
respect the locking torques indicated in the Characteristics Chapter.
-Check the engine oil level and if necessary top it up with the recommended type.
- Top-up the cooling circuit.
- Check the functioning of the accelerator and the electrical devices.
CAUTION
PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO POSITIONING THE THROTTLE CONTROL TRANSMISSION
PROPERLY. CHECK THAT THERE IS A SMALL CLEARANCE WHEN THE VALVE IS IN ABUT-
MENT AGAINST THE SET SCREW.
