7.9.7 Blanking mode in the basic configuration
Only a reduced series of configurations can be implemented in basic configuration mode.
BCM configuration: Fixed blanking

• 1 fixed blanking zone: only 1 zone can be configured as a blanking zone.
• 2 fixed blanking zones: 2 zones can be configured as blanking zones.

• Floating blanking disabled: Floating blanking is not permitted.
• 1 floating blanking beam: The light curtain remains in NORMAL OPERATION if 1 beam
or 0 beams are interrupted.
• 2 floating blanking beams: The light curtain remains in NORMAL OPERATION if 2
adjacent beams, 1 beam or 0 beams are interrupted.
• Reduced resolution 4: The light curtain switches to a SAFE state if more than 4
adjacent beams are interrupted.
