Use a Phillips screwdriver and a feeler gauge to adjust the brake gap to
0.100” ± 0.020” (about 3/32”) between the two legs as shown below.
If stream feeding occurs after you set the proper gap, replace the brake as-
sembly (see Chapter 5 for instructions).
