4 Creating!the!Plexxi!Fabric!Network!
The following can be configured from Plexxi 3eq switches:
• Plexxi fabrics which are configured from the right-most QSFP28 ports on the I/O panel. QSFP28
ports 27-32 form Fabric 1. QSFP28 ports 21-26 form Fabric 2.
• Device connections
1-LightRail!or!2-LightRail!Fabric!
Switch 3eq can be configured on either 1 fabric or 2 fabrics:
• LightRail 1 uses QSFP28 ports 27-32.
• LightRail 2 uses QSFP28 ports 21-26.
IMPORTANT: Never connect LightRail 1 to LightRail 2.
When designing multiple LightRails:
• The first LightRail must connect all of the switches in the fabric together.
• The second lightrail can be used to increase the bandwidth and connectivity between those switches.
