4) Press the ^ button on the key pad again until the set point temperature is at least 3
degrees above the room temperature. The second stage of the heating system
should turn on within several seconds.
5) Move the system switch to the “Off
” position again. The heating system
should shut off within several seconds although the fan may continue to
run for several minutes.
6) Move the system switch to the cool position and press the button until the
set point is at least 1 degree below the room temperature. The cooling system
should turn on within several seconds. (IMPORTANT: skip the cooling
test steps, 6 and 7, unless the outside temperature is at least 50 deg. F, 10
deg. C).
7) If the system is equipped with second stage cooling, press the button again
until the set point is at least 3 degrees below the room temperature. The
second stage of the cooling system should turn on within several seconds.
