Set Point Recovery Mode
This feature is designed to maximize comfort by minimizing the amount of
time for your system to reach a new set point after a setback period is
completed. It also makes sure temperature set points are reached as
closely as possible to the set point times by calculating when to turn on the
first stage of your multistage system. While in normal operating mode,
two hours prior to an upcoming set point time, the unit will monitor
performance and control your system staging requirements. The second
stage heating or cooling will be activated during this time only during
circumstances of extraordinary heating or cooling requirements. Heating or
cooling begins 10 minutes prior to the end of a setback period for each
degree of temperature difference between the current temperature and the
upcoming setpoint temperature, up to a maximum of 2 hours. The Set
Point Recovery does not work if the system is in the Hold mode or if the
Temporary Program Override is in effect.
Low Battery Warning and Battery Replacement
The thermostat requires 2 AA alkaline batteries to supply power to
maintain clock operation in the event of power failure. Battery life is
continuously monitored by the thermostat. When battery power is low, a
