Attaching the sub-base to the wall (See Fig. 1)
1. Be sure all power to the heating or cooling system is disconnected.
2. Remove the thermostat from the box and packaging.
3. Carefully remove the sub-base from the unit by pressing the latch release under the
bottom of the front side of the unit.
4. Place the sub-base against the wall in the desired location while guiding the
control wires through center opening, and mark the mounting hole locations using the
sub-base slots as a template.
5. Remove the sub-base from the wall, and drill the mounting holes using a 3/16 in.
drill bit.
6. Mount the sub-base to the wall using the screws and anchors provided, while
guiding the wires through the wire opening.
7. Connect the wires securely to the terminal block using the appropriate terminal
designations, referring to the Wiring Diagram section of this manual. Important:
Be sure to follow instructions for jumper installation in diagrams.
