Press the up or down button to change the differential between .5, 1.0 or 2.0 deg F
(.25, .5 or 1.0 deg C). A higher differential setting will cause the system to turn
off and on less often, but the room temperature will vary more widely from the set
point. A lower setting will keep the room temperature closer to the set point, but
the system will cycle more frequently. If the second stage differential does not
require setting, simply wait 15 seconds until the unit returns automatically to the
normal operating mode.
4) To set the second stage differential, press the “Return” key again before the unit
returns to the normal mode. The display will show flashing “d2” and “SET” icons
with the current 2nd stage differential shown on the right side of the display.
