PROTECH Thermostat
Three (3) Year Limited Warranty
SCOPE of WARRANTY: This Limited Warranty provides that a replacement product will be furnished
for any product which fails in normal use and service during the Applicable Warranty Period specified, in
accordance with the warranty's terms.
EFFECTIVE DATE of WARRANTY COVERAGE & APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIODS: The
Effective Date is the date of installation if properly documented; otherwise, it is the date of manufacture
plus six (6) months. PROTECH Thermostats are warranted for an Applicable Warranty Period of THREE
(3) YEARS after the Effective Date.
STANDARD PROVISIONS and CONDITIONS: EXCLUSIONS - THIS WARRANTY WILL NOT
APPLY: a) to damages, malfunctions or failures resulting from failure to properly install, operate or main-
tain the product in accordance with the manufacturers instructions provided; b) to damages, malfunctions
or failures resulting from abuse, accident, fire, flood and the like; c) to products which are not installed in
the United States of America or Canada; d) to products which are not installed in accordance with applica-
ble local codes, ordinances and good trade practices; e) to damages, malfunctions or failures caused by the
use of any attachment, accessory or component not authorized by the manufacturer.
SHIPPING & SERVICE LABOR RESPONSIBILITY: This Warranty does NOT cover shipping costs.
You will be responsible for the cost of shipping warranty replacement products from our factory to our dis-
tributor and from the distributor to the location of your product. You also are responsible for any shipping
costs of returning the failed product to the distributor. This Warranty does NOT cover any labor expenses
for service, NOR for removing or reinstalling products. All such expenses are your responsibility, unless a
service labor agreement exists between you and your contractor.
