3. Update Setting: Click on the “Update Setting” button after finishing the GVRP
Global Setting procedure.
Per port setting (include LAG):
1. GVRP: Click on the “GVRP” drop-down menu from the “GVRP” drop-down list
in order to choose “Enable” or “Disable” to enabling or disabling GVRP for
every port.
2. GVRP applicant: Click on the “GVRP applicant” drop-down menu from the
“GVRP applicant” drop-down list to choose “Active” or “Normal” on port basis.
Ports in the GVRP active applicant state send GVRP VLAN declarations when
they are in the STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) blocking state, which prevents
the STP bridge protocol data units (BPDU’s) from being pruned from the other
ports. Ports in the GVRP normal applicant state do not declare GVRP VLAN’s
when in the STP blocking state.
3. GVRP registration: Click on the “GVRP registration” drop-down menu from the
“GVRP registration” drop-down list in order to choose “Enable” or “Disable” to
enabling or disabling GVRP registration on port basis. Configuring an
IEEE802.1Q trunk port in registration mode allows dynamic creation (if
dynamic VLAN creation is enabled), registration, and deregistration of VLAN’s
on the trunk port.
4. Update Setting: Click on the “Update Setting” button after finishing the Per port
setting procedure.
