5.2 Configuring RADWIN 2000 Alpha and RADWIN
Alpha Connectorized ODUs as Hubs
RADWIN Manager release 11.0 and above detects if the managed device supports the
browser UI, and if so, redirects you to use the browser UI instead.
1. Connect to ODU:
o From a laptop in the field, disconnect the PoE from the communications
network (LAN Connection) and connect the laptop.
o From the NOC, keep the PoE connected to the LAN.
2. Enter the IP address of the ODU that is to be the RTA(HBS).
3. Log on to the RADWIN Manager application as "Installer".
4. From main window of the RADWIN Manager application, click the Configuration
button
5. Choose the Operations tab.
6. Click Change ODU Mode.
7. Click RTA(HBS) and follow the onscreen instructions.
5.3 Defining RADWIN 2000 E ODUs as Hubs
1. Connect to the required ODU using the browser user interface.
2. In the Quick Setup wizard, define the Device Type as Hub or Client and click NEXT.
If the device type was changed, the device will reboot. After reboot, complete the
quick wizard to activate the device.
