RadarscanspeedissetupusingtheRadarSet-upmenu.When
thesystemdetectsascannerthatiscapableofoperatingatboth24
RPMand48RPM,2optionsareprovidedforscannerspeed:
•24RPM
•Auto
Ifyouhaveadigitalradarscannerthatonlyoperatesat24RPM,
thescannerspeedoptionisdisabled.Ifthescannerspeedoption
isenabled,youmustselecttheAutooptionifyouwanttousethe
higherscanspeeds.Thisoptionautomaticallyswitchesbetweenthe
24RPMand48RPMscanspeedsasappropriate.

digitalradomeorRaymarineSuperHDdigitalopenarrayradar
scanner.

TheAutooptionautomaticallyselectstheappropriatespeed
foryourradarrange.48RPMisusedatradarrangesofup
to3nm.Itprovidesanincreasedrefreshrate,whichisuseful
athighspeedorinareaswhereyouhavelargenumbersof
radartargets.Atradarrangesofgreaterthan3nmthedisplay
switchestheradarspeedto24RPM.

butnottransmitting,andtheantennaisnot
rotating.Thescannerdoesnottransmitand
theradardataisremovedfromthescreen.
Thisisapower-savemodeusedwhenthe
radarisnotneededforshorttimeperiods.
Whenyoureturntotransmitmode,the
magnetrondoesnotneedtowarmupagain.
Thisisthedefaultmode.
OffScannerpoweredoffwhenradarnotrequired,
butdisplayisinuseforotherapplications,
suchasthechart.Whenselected,thesystem
countsdown.Duringthistimeyoucannot
re-powerthescanner.
Timed
Transmit
Scannerswitchesbetweenon/transmitting,
andstandbymode.Scannergoesintopower
savemodewhenconstantuseofradarisnot
required.
