circlemeetsasecondobject.Therangebetweenthe2objectsisdisplayed
alongthecircle.
ElectronicBearingLine(EBL)
TheEBLisastraightlinefromthecenteroftheVRMtotheedgeofthe
screenandsignifiesthebearingfromtheobjectinthecenteroftheVRMto
thesecondobjectwhichtheEBLshouldpassthrough.
1.CenteredVRM/EBLBydefaultwhentheVRM/EBLisenableditwillbe
centeredaroundyourvessel.Y oucanusethe‘centered’VRM/EBLto
determinetherangeandbearingofanobjectinrelationtoyourvessel.
2.FloatingVRM/EBLY oucanadjusttheVRM/EBLsothatitiscenteredon
anotherobject,knowasa‘floating’VRM/EBL.Youcanusethefloating
VRM/EBLtodeterminetherangeandbearingbetweenthe2objects.
ThereferencepointusedfortheVRM/EBLcanbeconfiguredtoeither
measurebearingfromtruenorth/magneticnorthorbeabearingrelativeto
yourvessel.
Whensetto[True/Mag]bearingismeasuredfromthedisplay’sselected
bearingreference(i.e.:TrueorMagneticnorth).Thedisplay’sbearing
referencecanbespecifiedfromthe[Units]menu:[Homescreen>Units>
Bearing].
Whensetto[Relative]bearingsaretakenfromtheShipsHeadingMarker
(SHM).

1.Pressabuttononthe[Directionalpad]toentercursormode.
2.Pressthe[OK]button.

3.Enablethe[VRM/EBL]toggleswitch.
4.Usethe[Directionalpad]tochangethesizeoftheVRMandlocation
oftheEBL.
5.Pressthe[Back]buttontoplacetheVRM/EBL.
