TheautopilotactivatestheWaypointAdvancewarningintrack
modewheneverthetargetwaypointnamechanges.Thisoccurs
when:
•youselectautomaticacquisitionbypressingTrackfromAuto.
•yourequestwaypointadvancebypressingTrackfor1second
intrackmode(withSeaT alknavigatorsonly).
•theboatarrivesatthetargetandthenavigatoracceptsthe
nextwaypoint.
•youactivatetheManOverboard(MOB)function.
Whenthewarningsounds,theautopilotcontinuesonitscurrent
headingbutdisplays:
•thebearingtothenextwaypoint.
•thedirectiontheboatwillturntotakeupthatbearing.
Arrivingatawaypoint
Asyouapproacheachwaypoint,analarmsoundsandawarning
isdisplayed:
Whenthewaypointarrivalwarningisdisplayed:
1.Checkthatitissafetoturnontothenewheading.
2.IfitisNOTsafeoryoudonotwanttoadvancetothenext
waypointyoucan:
i.SelectCANCELorAutotoremainonthesameheading,
or
ii.SelectStandbytoreturntomanualsteering.
3.IfitissafeselectTRACKtoacceptthenewheadingand
proceedtothenextwaypoint.

Crosstrackerror(XTE)isthedistancebetweenthecurrent
positionandaplannedtrackline.
Thereareanumberofreasonswhyyoumayhaveacrosstrack
error(XTE),forexample:
•Pressingthetrackbuttonatapositionsomedistancefrom
theroute.
•Coursechangetoavoidanobstacle.
•Waypointarrivalundercertainconditions.
Ifthecrosstrackerrorisgreaterthan0.3nm,theSmartPilotwill
soundtheLargeCrossTrackErrorwarningandshowwhether
youaretotheport(Pt)orstarboard(Stb)oftheplannedtrack.
