6.13 PROLONGED SHUTDOWNS OF THE MACHINE
If the machine must remain off-duty for a long time (e.g. seasonal
shutdown), the specialized Engineer must:
– check the pressure vessels’ state of preservation
– conduct the leak test on the system
– open the line isolator
– close the chilled water shutoff valves
– drain the chilled water from the piping of the hydraulic circuits,.
6.14 START-UP AFTER PROLONGED SHUTDOWN
Before starting the machine, carry out all the maintenance jobs indicated
§ 7.2.
Moreover, the specialized Engineer must carry out adequate checks,
calibrations and the start-up procedure.
