CAUTION: Use 4 new screws and a new
insulator gasket when you install the
insulator.
CAUTION: Use a new gaskets when you
install the carburetor.
7.7.5 To disassemble and assemble the carburetor
Clean all parts and examine them for wear and damage.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
1. Remove the carburetor. Refer to To remove and
install the carburetor on page 19 .
2. Remove the 4 screws (A).

3. Remove the metering cover (B) and the purge body
assembly (C).
4. Remove the metering diaphragm (D) and the
metering gasket (E).
5. Remove the fuel pump assembly (F), the fuel pump
diaphragm (G) and the fuel pump gasket (H).
6. Examine the metering lever and the needle valve for
wear and damages. Replace the needle valve and
metering lever if it is necessary.
7. Remove the 2 screws (I) and the throttle cable
bracket (J).

8. Remove the barrel valve unit (K).
9. Replace the gasket (L) if it shows signs of wear.
