7.7.3 To disconnect and connect the throttle cable
1. Remove the carburetor cap.
2. Remove the swivel cap and the throttle cable.
3. Connect in the opposite sequence.
7.7.4 To remove and install the carburetor
1. Use compressed air to remove dirt around the
carburetor.
2. Disconnect the throttle cable from the carburetor.
Refer to To disconnect and connect the throttle
cable on page 19 .
3. Remove the inlet tube.
4. Remove the fuel hoses.
5. Remove the 3 screws (A) and the spit back plate (B)

6. Remove the 2 screws (C).
7. Remove the inlet manifold (D), the carburetor (E)
and the gasket (F).
8. Discard the gasket (F).
9. Remove the cylinder cover. Refer to To remove and
install the cylinder cover on page 13 .
10. Remove the 4 screws (G), the insulator (H) and the
insulator gasket (I).

11. Discard the 4 old screws (G) and the insulator
gasket (I).
12. Install in the opposite sequence.
