3) Check for evidences of excessive
condensation, such as water droplets
forming in the inner liner, and subsequently
dripping out the joints, Continuous
condensation can cause corrosion of caps,
pipe, and ttings. It may be caused by having
excessive lateral runs, too many elbows,
and exterior portions of the system being
exposed to cold weather.
4) Inspect joints, to verify that no pipe
sections or ttings have been disturbed,
and consequently loosened. Also check
mechanical supports such as Wall Straps,
or plumbers' tape for rigidity.
MAINTENANCE
6) Disconnect the inlet gas line.
7) Disconnect the EV1, EV2, and ground wires
from the valve - as shown below.
REMOVING VALVE
1) Shut off the gas supply.
2) Remove the louvers (and bay door if it is
on).
3) Open the ush door and remove the door.
4) Remove the logs.
5) Remove the burner/grate assembly by
removing the two screws and then lift the
burner assembly out.

8) Remove the rear log stand by removing the
2 screws.
9) Remove the 10 screws securing the
valve tray assembly in place (Diagram
2) and then lift the entire assembly out
(Diagram 3).

11) Replace with a new a valve tray assembly
and reverse steps 9 - 1.

10) Lift out valve tray.
