Edit Mobile Band
This option provides a way to manually set up frequencies and to add/remove bands from the display
with a range of 1-8 bands.
Restore Defaults
This option restores the 8 default mobile bands at 700-790 MHz, 800-850 MHz, 850-920 MHz, 1.70-1.85
GHz, 1.90-2.10 GHz, 2.40-2.50 GHz, 2.50-2.60 GHz, 5.14-5.90 GHz.
Jammer Detector
This option provides a way to enable or disable the Jammer Detector feature, configure the Jammer
Detector's settings, and view the Jammer Detector log.
Lock
The Lock option provides a method for preventing the Jammer Detection feature from being disabled or
any of the settings from being changed. This allows a more experienced user to set up the MESA for
Jammer Detection and then hand the unit off to another operator, who is possibly less trained or less
reliable, for monitoring. The user will still be notified if there is a possible jammer detection, but they
will not be able to turn the feature off or change any of the settings.
Jammer Detector
RF Jammers are used to block or interfere with the physical transmission and
reception of wireless communications. In most cases, they work by generating RF
energy to overwhelm or confuse RF transmissions. They can deny service
indiscriminately or they can target specific classes of transmission (GPS, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth, cell phone, etc.).
The Jammer Detector feature on the MESA provides an easy method for detecting the possible presence
of a jamming device.
The Jamming Detector feature is available only when the MESA is in Mobile Bands mode. The feature is
enabled by default.
To enable or disable the Jammer Detector feature:
1. Select Jammer Detector from the Mode Settings Menu at the top left of the screen. The Jammer
Detector Settings dialog will appear.
2. For Feature, select Enable or Disable.
3. Press OK at the bottom right corner of the dialog.
Or
1. From the Mobile Bands main screen, press the Jammer Detector icon to the right of the Alerts
box to enable or disable the feature.
