Operation
DANGER
As the deployment of the
front passenger Airbag is
not compatible with the
positioning of a rear-facing child
seat, NEVER fit a rear-facing
child restraint system on a seat
protected by an ACTIVATED
front Airbag. This can cause
the CHILD’S DEATH or SERI
OUS INJURY.
The passenger Airbag
may only be activated or
deactivated when the
vehicle is stationary
with the ignition off.
Ifitisinterferedwithwhentheve
hicle is being driven, indicator
lights and will
come on.
Switch the ignition off then on
againtoresettheAirbaginaccor
dance with the lock position.
Usingachildsafetysys
temwhichisnotap
proved for this vehicle
will not properly protect
thebabyorchild.Theyriskseri
ous or even fatal injury.
Deactivating the front passenger
Airbag
Before installing a child seat on the
front passenger seat:
– checkthatthechildseatcanbein
stalled on this seat;
– it is essential to deactivate the
Airbagfor a rear-facing child seat.
TodeactivatetheAirbag:withthevehi
cle stationary and the ignition switched
off, push and turn the lock

to the
OFF position.
When the ignition is switched on, you
must check that the warning
light is illuminated on the display

and, depending on the vehicle, that the
"Passengerairbagoff"messageisdis
played.
This light remains continuously lit
to let you know that you can fit a
child seat.
