Special feature of the automatic
engine re-start
Beforeleavingthevehi
cle, the engine must be
stopped (not put in
standby) 🡺180.
Under certain conditions, the engine
canrestartonitsowninordertoguar
antee your safety and comfort.
This may occur when:
– the outdoor temperature is too low or
too high;
– the "Clear View" function is activated

– the battery is not sufficiently
charged;
– the vehicle speed is above 3 mph (5
km/h) (downhill slope, etc.);
– thebrakepedalispressedrepeated
lyorthereisabrakingsystemrequire
ment;
– ...
Depending on the vehicle, the
warninglightisdisplayedonthein
strumentpaneltonotifyyouofauto
matic engine restarting.
Depending on the vehicle, the
warning light may be accompanied by
a message on the instrument panel:
– "Batterychargeoptimisation"topri
oritise battery charging;
– "Heating comfort priority" to prioritise
the air conditioning;
– "Engine running priority" to prioritise
engine functions.
