240 - Driving
Driver vigilance warning
Thedrivervigilancewarningisafunc
tion that analyses the behaviour of the
driver (driving style, vehicle steering,
etc.) and alerts them if there is a risk of
falling asleep.
It takes into account indicators such
as:
steering wheel movement;
driveractionsonothersystems(indi
cators, brake pedal, etc.).
Thisfunctionisanaddi
tional driving aid in case
of risk of fatigue. This
function does not take
the place of the driver.
Under no circumstances should
this function replace the driver's
careorresponsibilitywhilstdri
ving.
Operation
Thefunctionissettonotifythedri
ver if:
a few minutes have elapsed since
the vehicle last stopped;
thevehiclespeedisgreaterthanap
proximately 43 mph (70 km/h).
If there is a risk of fatigue or impaired
attention, the "Driver vigilance warning:
take a break" message is displayed on
the instrument panel

by a beep.
Press switch

OK to clear the alert. It
isadvisabletostopassoonaspossi
ble for a break.
After deleting the message, the system
continuesvigilancemonitoringandis
sues a new warning if necessary.
Thedrivervigilancewarn
ing constantly monitors the
driver's attention and can
provideseveralwarningsperjour
ney.
The system resets every time the
engine is started.
Activation/deactivation
Alerts can be deactivated or activated
from the "Custom" mode of the "My
Safety" function
Note: when the alerts are deactivated,
the system continues to assess the
driver's state of fatigue.
