Special note related to connecting/
disconnecting a trailer to/from the
towing system
Eachtimeatrailerorcaravaniscon
nectedforthefirsttime,whenitisdis
connected from the towing system or
when replacing a faulty bulb on your
vehicle 🡺353, your vehicle's lighting
must be synchronised with your trailer
or caravan lighting.
To do this:
– switchoffallofthelightsonyourve
hicle (interior and exterior);
– switch off the ignition;
– get out of your vehicle, then lock all
the doors using the key or the "hands-
free" card 🡺34, 🡺20;
– wait approximately 5 minutes before
accessing your vehicle again.

Note: when connecting/disconnecting
the trailer with the lights on, the trailer
lights may flash.

cle: the tow ball (fixed/retractable/

– Towbar (cross member and
hitch) not originally fitted to the
vehicle: the entire towbar and
mountings must not exceed 31.5
kg.
Anytowingdevicemustnotob
struct any lighting component or
the number plate when not in use.

the regulations of the particular
country you are in.
