Operating faults
This warning light
2
will light up
on the instrument panel when the igni-
tion is switched on and then go out af-
ter a few seconds.
If it does not light up when the ignition
is switched on, or comes on when the
engine is running, there is a fault in the
system.
Contact your approved Dealer as soon
as possible. Your protection will be re-
duced until this fault is rectified.
The following cases cause the pre
tensioners or airbags to operate.
In a frontal impact against a rigid
(nondeformable) surface at an im
pact speed equal or greater than
25 km/h (16 mph)
In a frontal impact with another ve
hicle of an equivalent or higher cat
egory, with an impact area equal to
or greater than 40 %, where the
speed of both vehicles is equal or
greater than 40 km/h (25 mph).
