Operating principle
When the ignition switch is in ON posi-
tion, the low tyre pressure warning
light illuminates and then turned OFF,
This indicates that the low tyre pres-
sure warning system is operational.
Warning light
1
comes ON to
alert the driver in the event of insuffi-
cient pressure (deflated wheel, punc-
tured tyre, malfunction, etc.)
Low tyre pressure warning
If the vehicle is being driven with low
tyre pressure
1
will illuminate.
When the low pressure warning light il-
luminates you should stop and adjust
the tyre pressure to the recommended
COLD tyre pressure. The low tyre
pressure warning light doesn’t auto-
matically turned off when the tyre pres-
sure is adjusted. After the tyre is inflat-
ed with the recommended
pressure,the vehicle must be driven at
speeds above 25 km/h (16 mph) to ac-
tivate the Tyre pressure monitoring
system and turn off the low tyre pres-
sure warning light.
TPMS Malfunction :
If the TPMS is not functioning properly
the low tyre pressure warning light no
1
will flash for approximately 1 minute
when the ignition switch is placed ON
position. The light will remains ON af-
ter the 1 Minute, along with the electri-
cal warning tell tale or warning light
malfunction tell tale no
2
.
Operating conditions
In the following situations, the system
risk coming into action late or not func-
tioning correctly :
– system not reset after reinflation or
any operation on the wheels ;
– system badly reset : different infla-
tion pressures from the recommended
pressures ;
– significant change in load or distribu-
tion of load on one side of the vehicle ;
– sporty driving with strong accelera-
tion ;
– driving on snowy or slippery surface
– driving with snow chains ;
– fitting a single new tyre ;
– use of tyres not approved by the net-
work ;
