Optical interference Reduce optical power

OMM/OMI range
settings.
System malfunction or Ensure there are no arc
inducing intermittent welders, stroboscopes
errors. or other high intensity
light sources in close
proximity to the probe
system.
Electrically isolate OMM
from the machine to
prevent any possibility
of earth loop.
Symptom Action
Poorly regulated Ensure power supply is

Excessive machine Switch on enhanced
vibration. trigger circuit. Eliminate
vibration.
Loose mountings or Check and tighten loose
styli. connections.
MI 12 power LED fails to illuminate with
