What to do if my Response Biomedical RAMP READER Laboratory Equipment shows '***DEAD BATTERY*** PLUG IN CHARGER!'?
    • K
      Katie LarsonAug 6, 2025
If your Response Biomedical Laboratory Equipment displays the message "***DEAD BATTERY*** PLUG IN CHARGER!", it means the device has detected a fully discharged battery during the Power-On Self-Test, IQC, or at the RUN/OPTIONS or RUN LQC/EXIT prompt. To resolve this, turn off the Reader, then plug in the AC Adapter/Charger. After turning the Reader back on, the RUN/OPTIONS Menu will appear only when the battery voltage is adequate for operation. Note that a full charge requires 24 hours of continuous charging, but you can still run tests while it's charging.
