|VOX Level Setting
VOX (Voice Operated Transmit) allows user to switch the
transmission in hands-free, user don't need to press PTT but-
ton.
Q VOX Level Selection
(1) Press It] button continuously until LCD shows *XL "3 ,
and then press CE)/(S) button to increase or decrease
VOX sensitivity level from 0 to 5.
(2) Press CS? button to save and quit the menu list.
^NOTE:
0 means VOX canceling; 3 means the most sensi-
tive (for quiet environment); 5 means the least (for
noisy environment).
Q VOX On
Press C key for 2 seconds to turn VOX on and €£ appears.
Q VOX Off
Press C Key for 2 seconds to turn VOX off and C£ symbol will
disappear.
Depending on the environment, in general, it is recommended
to set VOX in a moderate sensitiviry. Too high sensitivity
could cause accidental transmissions, especially in high noise
environments.
jlMOTE: The VOX feature provides internal microphone or
external microphone, the function control is auto
detected.
|Time Out Timer(TOT)
TOT function, it prevents from locking up a repeater or
fre-
quency by prolonged keying of PTT. The time-out timer limits
the amount of time you have to transmit your message. When
you reach the time limit which has been programmed by your
dealer, your transmission will be cut off. In order to transmit
again,
you must push PTT button to reset the timer.
Q TOT On/Off
(1) Press [|] button continuously until LCD shows

(2) Press n^)/(lh button or the dial selector to select On or
OFF.
(3) Press C5P button to save and quit the menu list.

NOTE:
TOT Timer is able to set by dealer.
•Side Tone Function
Side tone allows user to hear your speech in headset. When
plugging the headset into external speaker/microphone
con-
nector, the side tone feature is activated automatically.
