The "Edit", "Edit / Delete", and "Full Control" access permissions allow a user to perform high level
operations that could result in loss of or changes to sensitive information. We recommend you grant
only the "Read-only" permission to general users.
Specifying User and Access Permissions for Files Stored by a Particular User
This can be specified by the file creator (owner) or user administrator. For details about logging in and
logging out with administrator authentication, see "Logging in Using Administrator Authentication" and
"Logging out Using Administrator Authentication".
Specify the users and their access permission to files stored by a particular user.
Only those users granted access permission can access stored files.
This makes
managing access permission easier than specifying and managing access permissions for each
stored file.
If files become inaccessible, be sure to enable the user administrator, so that the user administrator
can reset the access permission for the files in question.
1. Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.
2. Press [System Settings].
3. Press [Administrator Tools].
4. Press [Address Book Management].
5. Select the user.
6. Press [Protection].
7. Under "Protect File(s)", press [Program/Change/Delete] for "Permissions for Users/
Groups".
