Moving the Printer
CAUTION:
Moving the printer in a short distance
A Be sure to check the following points:
• The power switch is turned off.
• The power cable is unplugged from the wall outlet.
• The interface cable is unplugged from the printer.
B If the external option is installed, remove it.
C Lift the printer with two people by using the inset grips on both side of the
printer, and then move it horizontally to the place where you want to install
it.
D If you remove the option, reinstall it.
Note
❒ Be sure to move the printer horizontally. To prevent toner from scattering,
move the printer slowly.
❒ If the optional paper feed unit is installed, remove it from the printer, and
then move them separately.
• Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before you move the machine.
While moving the machine, you should take care that the power cord will
not be damaged under the machine.
