This machine has a paper tray (250 sheets) and a by-pass paper feed (single sheet).
The paper feed mechanism uses a friction pad system.
The paper end sensor detects whether paper is installed in the tray and whether the tray is set in the machine,
because this machine does not have a tray set sensor.
This machine also does not have automatic paper size detection. The machine determines the paper size
from the on-off timing of the registration sensor. If the paper type which is selected at the PC does not match
the paper size measured by the registration sensor, the machine issues a paper jam alert and stops the
motors.
