1. OBJECTIVE
These specifications define the technical characteristics of the MULTI SENTRY uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
The UPS is designed to supply a clean and stable electrical supply, irrespective of the condition of the mains or
an alternative power supply.
The MULTI SENTRY series of UPS is designed and manufactured by Riello UPS, a leader in this field with a range of
products from 350 VA to 800 kVA, and over 25 years of experience in power protection.

2. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The MULTI SENTRY UPS is available in 10-200 kW On Line double conversion technology.
MULTI SENTRY meeting the VFI-SS-111 classification defined by IEC EN 62040-3.
MULTI SENTRY is designed to protect critical industrial and Information Technology (IT) systems with the following
features:
a) Zero Impact Source
Extremely low input current distortion and with 0,99 input power factor;
Power Walk-In and start-up delay to reducing generator oversizing; these features also help to
guarantee supply compatibility where available mains power is limited.
b) Battery Care System
two voltage level recharge according to the IU characteristic;
temperature compensating recharge voltage;
suitable for the charging of extended back-up battery sets with additional charger options;
Battery test function to detect potential battery deterioration;
Cyclical recharge;
Commissioning Charge”
c) Capability to power loads with cosφ from 0,9 inductive to 0,9 capacitive, without power reduction (kVA);
d) High performance design achieving a system efficiency greater than 95% (on-line mode);
e) Backfeed protection (Inverter disconnection or bypass line opening contactor);
f) Multi-function case design to allow:
Easy operations to separate the bypass line from the rectifier line;
Installation of powerful charger for long back up time requirements;
Insulation transformer installation inside the UPS cabinet in place of batteries.
