ADJUSTING THE RIDING POSITION
SADDLE ORIENTATION AND ANGLE
The distance between the handlebars and
saddle and the angle of the saddle have an
eect on riding comfort and riding dynam
-
ics. By moving the saddle horizontally, this
distance can be altered which has a pro
-
found eect on pedaling. Furthermore, the
seat should usually be oriented parallel to
the ground.
• Loosen the bolt A three to four turns only,
otherwise the entire mechanism may fall
apart.
• Move the seat forward or backward as
desired. Often this only requires a little
bump to the saddle.
• Adjust the angle.
• Tighten the bolt A
to 12–15 Nm.
• Check to see if the tightened saddle moves
by alternately loading the front and back of
the saddle.
DANGER!
When replacing the saddle, be
aware that only saddles with a
frame diameter of 7 – 8 mm can
be used. Using saddles with other
frame diameters can lead to fail-
ure and cause the rider to fall.

TIP!
The Riese & Müller ip op seat post
can be rotated with its head facing
forward to get a smaller distance to
the handlebar.
