7.8.1 Power generator control panel
Description
A control panel is located on the genset to carry out the starting and stopping
controls and operations.
A display indicates the hours of operation.
Refer to the Manufacturer’s manual for more information.
WARNING
Before stopping the power generators, disconnect the various on-board
uses supplied by them; stopping the power generators under load can ir-
reparably damage the electronic control units of the various uses, beyond
having a negative inuence on the generators’ operation.
However, please refer to the manuals of the power generators to obtain
more detailed information about the starting and stopping procedures.
DANGER
CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING:
Start the generator only in a well ventilated area. The carbon monoxide,
generated by the inner combustion of engines, is extremely toxic.
CAUTION
Explosion/re hazard
Check for the presence of fumes in the generator area.
