WARNING
In case of more or less serious faults, contact the RIVA Service Depart-
ment as soon as possible.
CAUTION
RIVA declines all responsibility regarding tampering carried out by third
parties on equipment installed in the Shipyard. Such tampering or unau-
thorized installations will not only immediately void the warranty, but may
cause damage to the yacht and injuries to the people on board.
RIVA declines all responsibility concerning periodical maintenance activi-
ties scheduled by the Shipyard or by Manufacturers, but not carried out,
on equipment/components, for which it is necessary to refer to their own
Technical Manuals.
WARNING
Avoid prolonged use of engines at low speeds to avoid overheating of
exhaust pipes due to reduced cooling water circulation.
12.6 DEVICE SETTINGS CARRIED OUT
BY THE OWNER
12.6.1 Magnetic compass
CAUTION
The yacht is delivered with a compass that has not been compensated.
Compass compensation has to be carried out under the Owner’s respon-
sibility, after the installation of any additional electronic equipment, and
should be performed by an authorised and qualied technician. Any elec-
trical or metallic items located in its proximity may inuence the compass.
Compensation
Compass compensation must be carried out by the Authorized Experts of
the Marine Authority. As a consequence of variable magnetic elds on board
and prolonged anchorage always in the same bow, the compass turns for
the relevant correction must be carried out at least every year.
CAUTION
Never unscrew screws and lling caps (1) for any reason. The only screws
to be regulated are the ones of the adjusters (by means of the magnetic
screwdriver provided).
When the adjusters screw slot is horizontal the setting is neutral, when it
is vertical it is maximum (see picture).
Have this operation carried out exclusively by specialized personnel.
