12.2.2 Fuel system
With low temperatures, diesel fuel can form solidied parafn suspensions
which can clog the fuel lters; making the normal engine supply is impos-
sible.
The Standard fuel guarantees uidity up to 0°C during the summer period,
and up to -20°C during the winter period:
• European standard EN590;
• DIN EN 590 (German);
• ÖNORM EN 590;
• ASTM D975 No. 1D (USA);
• BS 2869 Part 1 Class A 1 (UK);
• BS MA 100 DMX (Marine Diesel Fuel).
WARNING
There is a special type of fuel for countries subject to very low tempera-
tures.
CAUTION
Do not add petrol to fuel, in order to avoid serious engine damage.
CAUTION
Always refer to the manual provided by the Manufacturer.
