3.4.5 Fire-ghtingsystemintheengineroom
Checks and tests
To make sure that the re extinguisher is operational, the pressure gauge
must be in the green eld.
CAUTION
Accidental discharge during handling or installation may cause serious
injury. Re-insert the safety pin tted by the Manufacturer on the sensing/
detecting valve of the cylinder up to complete and controlled installation.
Protect eyes during the installation or maintenance.
WARNING
During maintenance operations, pay attention not to break the ask lo-
cated on the cylinder, because, even if the safety pin is inserted, if the
ask breaks, the re-ghting system activates.
MAINTENANCE
At least once a month, and in any case, before each navigation, check the
charge status of the re extinguisher.
At least once a month, and in any case, before each navigation, check the
external condition of the re extinguisher. At least every 6 months check
the fastening of the re extinguisher.
3.4.6 Fire hoses
On board there are many re hoses that allow the re extinguisher.
To put under pressure the re hose system, push the button at bow.
NOTE
When the button is pressed, is also activated the chain washer.
