RemovingaSecuredChildSeat
1.Pressthereleasebuttononthebuckle.
2.Guidetheseatbeltoutofthebeltpathofthechildseat.
3.Allowtheseatbelttofullyretracttoavoidanytwists.Oncetheseatbelthas
returnedtoitsfullyretractedpositionintheretractor,theseatbeltreturnstonormal
function,andthelockingmechanismisdeactivated.
NOTE
ForchildseatsinstalledwithLATCH,reversetheproceduresofLATCHinstallationto
removetheseat.Seemanufacturerinstructionsforthechildseatforadditional
details.
AutomaticLockingRetractor(ALR)
TheAutomaticLockingRetractorcausestheseatbelttolockupwhenpulledveryquickly.
ALRcanbeusedtosecureachildseat.
ActivatingALR
1.Drawouttheseatbeltcompletely.
2.Retracttheseatbelttothedesiredlengthtoactivatelockingtheseatbeltinthat
position.Oncelocked,theseatbeltcannotbeextendedfurther.
CancelingALR
Restoretheseatbelttonormalfunctionbyunbucklingandretractingtheseatbeltfully.
CancelELRwhenremovingachildseat.
