5. When you switch on your computer, the system automatically
detects the extra memory and updates the CMOS memory.
Removing a DIMM
1. Remove the cover.
2. Using your fingers, push the plastic retaining clips down and away
from the DIMM to release it from the socket. The released DIMM
can then be lifted up and out of the slots at either end of the
DIMM socket. Take care not to damage the socket when
removing the DIMM.

3. Replace the cover of the computer and reconnect your system as
shown on the Quick Start Guide.
4. When you switch on your computer, the system automatically
detects the removal of the memory and updates the CMOS
