CAUTION
Risk of poisoning and fire due to hazardous substances
There is a risk of poisoning and a fire hazard during roof sealing. Solvent-welding
agent (Rhenofol solvent-welding agent (THF) – tetrahydrofuran) and sealing paste
(Rhenofol paste) are highly volatile and combustible. Fumes can form an explosive
mixture with air. Fumes are heavier than air and spread at floor level. Ignition is
possible over greater distances. During thermal decomposition, harmful gases and
fumes may be generated, and explosive peroxides may be formed.
• Observe safety instructions on the containers.
• Ensure adequate ventilation of the workspace.
• Keep away from ignition sources. No smoking.
• Take precautionary measures against static discharge.
• Keep only in the original container. Keep container tightly closed in a cool,
well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
• Avoid inhalation of gas.
• Wear personal protective equipment (tight-fitting safety glasses with lateral
guards, self-contained respiratory protection (filter type A-P2); chemical
protective gloves (suitable material: butyl rubber; thickness of the glove
material: >= 0.7 mm) and protective clothing).
• Do not allow the product to reach sewage system or waterways.
• Comply with the safety data sheet of the manufacturer.
Use up opened containers within 24 hours.
