7 Operating
In this chapter you will read how to operate the F3 and R3 mower.
7.1 Starting the engine
NOTICE Before you start the engine, make sure that all daily checks as described in Daily checks before use
on page 28 have been done.
7.1.1 Use of the hand throttle
Use the hand throttle to determine the speed of the engine.
• Push the lever forwards to run the
engine at full speed.
• Pull the lever backwards to idle the
engine
NOTICE For the best result, always mow with the engine running at full speed.
7.1.2 Turning on the engine
CAUTION!
• If possible, start the machine outdoors.
• Never run the engine in an enclosed space without sufficient ventilation.
• Only start the engine when you are seated and bystanders are at a safe distance.
