7. Transportation
7-1. Transportation to Unpacking Workspace
・Transport the instrument by a forklift or hand pallet truck.
When you use a forklift or hand pallet truck, transport the packaged instrument. Insert the forks into
fork insert parts of the pallet shown below. Check the size of a forklift or hand pallet truck in
advance with reference to the dimensions of the pallet.

<Precautions>
* Support the packed instrument with at least two people to prevent accident or instrument
damage caused by being rear-ended or falling over during transportation by a hand pallet
truck.
* When transporting the packed instrument, cover a stepped portion of the floor with thin
steel plates or something to smooth the path and avoid making an impact on the
instrument.
* Pay careful attention to safety transportation. Especially, when rolling the instrument down
a sloped floor, keep in mind that the instrument will not be stopped easily once it starts
gaining speed as it is very heavy.
7-2. Move to Installation Place
(1) Unpack the instrument as instructed in 8. Unpacking Procedure and move to the selected
installation place.
(2) If it is allowed to move the instrument by a hand pallet truck, move the instrument close to
the installation place as it is on the pallet.
(3) Remove L-shaped brackets that secure the instrument to the pallet.
(4) Screw the carrying handle into each threaded hole located at the bottom of each side of the
instrument. Be sure to screw the handle all the way into the hole.
(5) Grip the carrying handles, carefully lift up the instrument and move to the installation place
such as a laboratory table.
<Precautions>
* To prevent the instrument from falling out of the pallet during transportation by a hand pallet
truck, make sure that the instrument is secured to the pallet by L-shaped brackets before
transportation.
* When you push or support the instrument during transportation by a hand pallet truck, be
careful where you put hands on because outer panels might deform or the plastic cover
might be damaged. (Hold the installed carrying handles to push or support the instrument.)
* Pay careful attention to safety transportation. Especially, when rolling the instrument down
a sloped floor, keep in mind that the instrument will not be stopped easily once it starts
gaining speed as it is very heavy.
* Clear the way for moving the instrument to the installation place by lifting. Remove in
advance obstacles if any.
