11-4. Adjusting the Water Flow Rate
◇ Set the wash reservoirs to be used in place prior to adjusting the water flow rate.
As a factory default setting, two wash station nozzles are installed in two water supply ports at
the right of the water supply manifold and two nozzle caps are installed in the two left water
supply ports so that two wash stations can be provided at the right of the 4-position reservoir
tray. To change the number of wash reservoirs to be used and their positions, refer to the
section “11-5. Installing the Wash Station Nozzle.”
◇ Adjustment of Water Flow Rate
Touch the Water Flow button from the Utility Menu screen (Fig. 11-1-5) to set the water supply
run-up time for the wash stations.
・Water supply run-up time: The period of time during which water is being supplied to wash
stations in advance of a move of baskets to wash stations during
staining.
* The screen samples below are in English although the screens are actually displayed in the
language selected in the section 11-1.
1) Set the wash reservoirs to be used in place. Make sure that water is not left in all of the wash
reservoirs.
2) Open the water supply valve.
3) Under the Water Flow screen (Fig. 11-4-1), touch the Start button. The run-up time starts to
count up and the Start button is changed to the Stop button. To verify the flow rate, wait until
all of the wash reservoirs start to overflow.
4) At the time when water starts to flow from the opening in the back of the wash reservoir, touch
the Stop button.
5) The run-up time should be 20 to 30 seconds. To obtain the appropriate time, adjust the
opening of the water supply valve. The water flow rate is decreased by turning the valve
clockwise and increased by turning it counterclockwise.
6) Once the Stop button is touched, the Save water supply run-up time window (Fig. 11-4-2)
appears. If the displayed run-up time is OK, touch the Save button to save the time. If not,
touch the Exit button to return to the Water Flow screen (Fig. 11-4-1) for re-adjusting the water
flow rate.
7) Remove the wash reservoirs from the instrument and discard water. Replace the wash
reservoirs.
8) If necessary, repeat the steps 3) to 6) to adjust the water flow rate.
・When adjusting the water flow rate as instructed below, make sure that water does not leak from
the connections of water supply hose and drain hose.
