3) Within 10 seconds of the Test Barcode window (Fig. 11-3-2) being displayed, read either one of
the following test barcodes according to the predefined setting.
SFJ type SFA type
 When reading the test barcode, check if the barcode reader produces a beeping sound.
 Then, check if the following barcode data are displayed in the Test Barcode window.

● If Invalid Data is displayed, instead of the above data, even after the SFJ type and SFA type
test barcodes have been read each, read the following barcodes (See separate sheet, Barcodes
for Setup), and adjust the internal settings of the barcode reader. At this time, any screen may
be on the display as no screen operation is needed.
After the barcode reader settings have been finished, display the Test Barcode window (Fig.
11-3-2) and read the appropriate test barcode again to check if the test barcode data are
properly displayed.
