1. OVERVIEW
Congratulations on your purchase of Salon Systems, Inc.’s T-Max® Series of tanning bed
timers with the built in intercom. The T-Max® is designed for complete automation and
control of your tanning equipment. It is also an excellent manual backup system in case your
PC fails. The T-Max® Mgr/Plus can be used as a stand-alone unit or can be controlled with a
computer using a number of popular software packages. Manual operation is accomplished via
front panel controls.
Manual operation is accomplished by pressing the proper sequence of buttons. There are 64
lights, each showing the status of a bed. A 16 key keypad and 16x2 LCD display allows you to
operate the T-Max® Mgr/Plus manually. If the T-Max® Mgr/Plus loses power, the T-
Max®3A/F/Is can be used as stand alone timers. As long as the T-Max® Mgr/Plus is active
the T-Max®3A/F/Is cannot be used as independent timers. Intercom control is accomplished
by either the tanner pressing the Call button in the tanning room on the T-Max® 3A/F/I or the
salon operator selecting the room to call from the T-Max® Mgr/Plus keypad and using the T-
Max® 3A/I/Master.
A licensed electrician installing your new system should use this manual. Check for
compliance with local building codes.
