T-Max® Manager/Plus and T-Max®3A/F/I User’s Guide Page 48
9) I can start sessions from the Master T-Max® Mgr/Plus, but not the Slave T-Max® Mgr/Plus
Enter Security Level 1 (See your enclosed Security Sheet). An Asterisk (*) will be displayed on the lower left corner of the
T-Max® Mgr/Plus. Cycle power to both the Slave T-Max® Mgr/Plus then the Master T-Max® Mgr/Plus. Watch the LCD
display. On the lower right, make sure the display shows “VER-202/T” or higher. If it does not contact your dealer for the
latest T-Max® Series Utility Software and load it into the T-Max® Mgr/Plus as described in Section 6. Check and make
sure the modular cable is connected to the Slave T-Max® Mgr/Plus. Recycle power to the Master T-Max® Mgr/Plus. Go
into the Master T-Max® Mgr/Plus parameter mode (Security Level 3) and set the Max Slave Number to 7. Cycle power to
the Slave T-Max® Mgr/Plus then cycle power to the Master T-Max® Mgr/Plus.
10) When checking my bulb hours (or any other parameter), the value shows 65535 for all beds. Why?
This is an indication that you are trying to check parameters from a Slave T-Max® Mgr/Plus. You can only check and
change parameters from a Master T-Max® Mgr/Plus. To determine if the T-Max® Mgr/Plus is a master or slave, cycle
power to the T-Max® Mgr/Plus and watch the LCD display. The top line will read “TESTING MEMORY #”. If the # is a
number other than a 0 (1-7), then this T-Max® Mgr/Plus is a slave. The T-Max® Mgr/Plus that reads “TESTING
MEMORY 0” is the master.
11) When a session ends, I get 2 periods on the display on the T-Max® 3A/F/I. Why?
This is the clean room indication letting you know that the room needs to be cleaned. Press and hold the Up button on the
T-Max® 3A/F/I until the periods go away and a 0 appears.
