Oil / water
draining/
pressure relief
The condensate is drained through a drain line. As a drain valve,
a solenoid valve is installed in the drain line. The drain valve is
open as long as the Sauer compressor is switched off. The drain
valve should close some seconds after starting, to allow the Sau-
er compressor to run-up against pressure. During operation the
solenoid valve periodically drains the compressor. This drain
valve (solenoid valve) is controlled by the compressor control
system.
Lubrication The drive is lubricated by the splash oil in the crankcase. The oil
dipper rods at the connecting rods dip in the oil sump and splash
the lubricating oil on the lubricating points.
