Removing and cleaning the water filter element(s)
Both the low-pressure and, if fitted, the high-pressure water pump are have strainers
to ensure that foreign matter does not enter the pump. The following steps detail the
recommended cleaning procedure.
1. Close shut off valve q.
2. Open drain valve w.
3. Unscrew the filter bowl e clockwise from the housing r and remove the
element t.
4. Wash out the element t with clean water or replace if too contaminated.
5. Before re-assembling the unit, apply some grease to the O-seal y to ensure a
water-tight fit for the filter bowl.
6. Refit the element and filter bowl e.
7. Close the drain valve w.
8. Open the shut of valve q.
